2001FP Power Save Mode

I have a 2001FP, Dim 8300 with an ATI 9800 Pro. The 2001FP goes into power save mode immediately at boot-up and won't come out. The only thing I get to see is the "Dell Genesis" message and then it immediately goes to sleep.

 

I have isolated the problem to the monitor (the 4 diagnostic llights in the back of the Dim are green, substitute monitors and all video cards work fine). The 2001FP is getting power and when I push the status/menu button, the message on the screen says that it is in power save mode and to check the video signal. The monitor is ~3 years old and has been working fine until now. Any answers/suggestions would be appreciated.
