2005FPW VGA vs DVI

Just got my new monitor about an hour ago... lovin' it!

My question is... being as I got the monitor to help with video production I was wondering which connection would be better. The VGA or the DVI?

Any thoughts?

Thank you!

suebo,

You will probably not notice any difference between the two.  Using the DVI out simply eliminates one step normally required for VGA.  That step is DAC (Digital to Analog Conversion) which is done to create output to a CRT monitor.  If you use the VGA input, your monitor will simply convert the analog data to a digital form by ADC (Analog to Digital Conversion).  The speed and accuracy of both steps is such that you will be hard pressed to notice any difference in image quality between the two inputs.
