Are you using VGA or DVI?

No Basically, it happens when I turn off the monitor and then want to turn it back on again, or when left idle and eventually power save will turn it off and it will be unable to come back and display properly. The screen does come on, but it stays black. The computer still functions yet I can't see anything.

I am having the same problem you are, it's very annoying. I tried using VGA, but after POST, my monitor reports the screen signal is not working, and I should set it to 1050x1680 at 60hz, which it ALREADY is on because I just switched from DVI on these settings.

All,

Run this and tell me if the issue persists.

* Power off the monitor
* Disconnect all cabling from the bottom and/or sides of the monitor (especially the power cord)
* Press and hold the monitor power button down for 5 seconds
* Reconnect only the monitor power cord and either the #1 blue VGA or #2 white DVI (not both)
* Power the monitor on
* The PC should already be on. The monitor should auto sense the #1 blue VGA or #2 white DVI. If it does not, press the Input Select button and change to #1 VGA or #2 DVI

I did as you suggested. When I turned the monitor back on it just flashed the screen (as always when problem persists) for a second and blacked out once again. For the past hour my monitor has not been able to display and stay. It has been very frustrating. I appreciate any help and/or suggestions given.

My monitor hasn't worked correctly for the past day now, I also tried the self test and it failed so I believe I need a replacement.

NiCoYa82,

If you have a service tag number associated with your monitor, you may use Chat or Email support to setup the monitor exchange.
If you only have an Order number associated with the monitor, you must call in,
1-800-624-9896. They will need the following information -
Monitor 20 digit PPID number
Name, address, phone, email address
Order number
