Again, there is no difference. They are the EXACT same thing. Actually technically the 2007FPW never existed.

The confusion comes becomes from the 2005 officially being called 2005FPW, but the newer ones being called WFP.

well the 2007FPW is whats listed under monitor options when building a Dell pc. the other day on the monitor section of Dells site they had a 2007FPW with 3 year warranty and then right under it was a 2007WFP with 3 year warranty. they were both brand new and were both the same price. why list two different monitors if they are exactly the same? you do see how this can be confusing dont you?

is one newer than the other? why were different letters ever used to begin with? the 2407 and 3007 were always listed as WFP.

I'm in AUS so no :smileytongue: , LOL.

But if you really still aren't sure you can get an official word :smileywink: (okok, so it's not for a 2007, same thing)

dont tell me to "get over it". i have a couple questions and i expect them to be answered with some respect. thats fine if they are the same thing but why would they both be listed in the monitor section if they were exactly the same? whey do they have different product codes if they are exactly the same?

Same monitor and the question has been answered.  Dell does make mistakes from time to time in the listing.  As others have said, get on with life, and not worry about this small misprint.

Paranoid aren't you.  You were told it was the same, so learn to listen for once, and not look too deep into this as if there was some kind of a conspiracy.  For goodness sakes newbie

This guy is all over the place.  Even Hardocp told him to just forget it, it was a typo, and he won't let go.  Drop it for goodness sakes

most of you guys are being jerks. if it was a misprint then why in the heck are BOTH listed on Dells site sometimes one right under the other one. somebody would have corrected it since this has gone on for months. also THEY HAVE DIFFERENT PRODUCT CODES. explain that.

I believe that question was answered in a nice, polite way, but you didn't like the answer you were given (although it is correct).

On these last two questions, again, I think it was answered that "Dell does makes mistakes on their website from time to time."  Also, remember this is a "users" forum and not an official Dell forum, so the "users" here wouldn't necessarily know the answer.  If you want to hear the "official" word contact Dell pre-sales support and ask them.  They are supposedly the experts.

i did contact them by email and phone. the email response said it must be a marketing error. a marketing error for 3 or 4 months sounds odd to me. over the phone the guy had no idea what i was even talking about. thats too bad that the people i have to order from dont even know their product line.

i was planning on ordering the widescreen 2007 but i would like a little better clarification on why they have different product codes for what appears to be the same monitor with the same warranty and on the same page.

also it looks like someone on here ordered a 2007WFP and got a "2007FP wide". so is this a third name for the widescreen 2007??

2007 FP is not the same as the 2007 FPW.  One is wide and the other is not.  Both the FPW or WFP are the same.  Got it now....  If this does not answer your question, seek professional help, you are going way over board on this.  Saw the other post you made on the Hardocp forum and they too are getting tired of you.
