2007WFP "Banding Problems" ?

I was considering purchasing a new Dell UltraSharp 2007WFP 20.1" LCD Monitor when I discovered all these Dell forum discussions about unacceptable "banding". It seemed horrible. Virtually everbody was sending their 2007 WFP back to Dell. I noticed that these were all written in April 2006 thru Dec 2006. I could not find any more recent forum discussions or postings. I decided to register and pose the question. Did Dell ever solve the banding problem with the UltraSharp 2007WFP 20.1" LCD Monitor?
