What were they thinking. i wonder if the person I talked to just assumed that they were out of stock and claimed that I was given a better monitor to shut me up. i wonder if this was just an accident.

Since Dell has this on record now, since it shows up in "my orders"..perhaps you should call instead of going thru ChrisM again..that could take weeks...

I PMed ChrisM as soon as I saw the FP. But I'm afraid of running out of time. According to Chris the official 21 days starts at the ship date of the replacement monitor. That was yesterday for me Tick Tick Tick.
Same problem here. I thought it was by accident though. I didn't know they purposely substituted the 2007FP. Anyway, I just sent the 2007FP back, and I PM'ed Chris M. I really would like a well-working 2007WFP as soon as possible. I also want the widescreen one, even though the 2007FP is worth more.
The 2007FP I received was A02. Also, the instructions say to put the old display in the new box. How did they expect us to put the 2007WFP in the 2007FP box? The dimensions are different.
REMINDER WARNING: DO NOT ASK FOR A NEW REPLACEMENT OVER THE PHONE! If you do, it's likely you'll get a refurbished one since you purchased it over 21 days ago. Make sure you go through Chris M to make sure you get a new one.
I agree with you 100% technicolor. I am even taking time out of my work day to get this taken care of. But I cant be on the phone yelling at people at work. That will have to wait until I get home.
It said 2007FP in the my orders section. And yes it says the price is $400. As of this morning My card has not been charged. I think that is the price you would pay if you fail to return the defective monitor.... But if I get charged i assure you I will be on the phone in 2 seconds, doesnt matter where I am at the time.
No no, I think this is only if you got put on the replacement list for the defective 2007WFP. And its not everyone, I have heard of plenty that got the correct one. Anyway. I PMed ChrisM he got back to me immediately. Said send it back, and that He will contact dispatch and get me the correct monitor.
Yet again Chris M is herre to save the day. That man deserves a raise!!!!!
I just received an incorrect replacement today also. This is a really big screw up by someone. If it was just one person, it would be an accident. This is a fiasco for one of the largest companies in the US.
