s-ips and s-pva are quite precise after calibration (deltaE 0.3)

the main differences are viewing angles. s-ips are wider and more "conservative", s-pva are change a little depending on viewing angle. much better than TN, but not as good as s-ips.

also remind you if your are a "pro photo editor", a GOOD calibration device is really needed. you having a good lcd with wrong colors will not be nice.. ;)

Perhaps. But I've read MANY posts from photographers (both pro and non-pro) saying that S-IPS is the ONLY way to go when editing photos.

well, everyone have own opinion.

wen i was searching for a monitor, i put a "goal":

"i want to sit in front of lcd, and colors/luminance should be perfect"

TN are ridiculous, so, i start to look about s-ips/spva

s-pva, looking at right distance, in front of it, can produce perfect and linear image (testing with my eyes :) ). no ugly shifting and etc. if you move your hear around, the lower darks shift a bit.

i was looking for a lcd for photo editing/film watching. as s-pva have more contrast, better blacks at good contrast, and reviews always say that s-pva looks better for movie than s-ips, i get a s-pva.

i do "amateur" photo editing, and im loving it.. ;)

but of course, im not "pro". if you don't want to "risk", get a s-ips and a GOOD CALIBRATOR... cheap ones are garbage..

but, your monitor is on the way... ;)
