2209WA Noise Issues?

I've come across a number of websites with reviews of the 2209WA saying it has a pronounced noise problem.  The noise is described as a buzzing/whining/humming that only diminishes if brightness is set to 100%.

Are these monitors prone to this noise?  Has Dell been made aware and possibly remedied the condition in later builds?  I prefer very low brightness settings and can't tolerate extraneous noise.

   Anybody with "non-noisy" 2209WA experiences?

Will Dell do what's necessary to make sure you end up with a non-noisy NEW monitor?

Get an exchange and compare the replacement to yours side by side for noise. If you only have a monitor order number, you should contact USA Order Support.
If your monitor was purchased tied to a Dell PC, contact USA Technical Support. They will need the following data -
Name:
Email Address:
Shipping address:
Phone number:
Monitor Order number or PC Service Tag number if purchased with a PC:
Monitor 20 digit PPID number found on the back on a label or on the slider card on the left rear:
Reason:

Thanks for the Returns procedure info but it didn't address my questions.

I'd like to determine if this is an ongoing problem with the 2209WA?  (Try Googling Dell 2209WA Noise and you'll understand my concerns)

Is Dell aware of issue?   If so, what if anything has been done?

How often is this problem coming up with 2209WA monitors?

Are there users who can report no noise problems for their 2209Wa monitors?

Thanks...

It has not shown up in the call logs and it has not been brought up in our weekly display meetings. This tells me that customers are not asking for exchanges for the issue.
