2405FPW - Need measurements
Can someone who has already purchased this monitor tell me the actual height without the stand ?. And also what is the height from the table to the bottom frame of the LCD ?
The web site says 22 x 22. I chatted for hours with Dell representatives but only wasted my time. They keep telling me the height is 22 inches. So I asked them is it a sqaure ?. & they tell me its a rectangle. Just went round & round & never got the answer. They refused to admit that they didn't have the answer.
Thanks.

Wow that was fast & usefull. & I spent my entire evening with customer support !
12.7 inches + 2 inches of frame = 14.7 inches.
21.5 inches - 14.7 inches = 6.8 inches.
Thats almost 7 inches from the table. I might sprain my neck looking up.
Thanks for the information.

Thanks for the info.
So the height is actualy 19 7/8 inches in compressed mode & not 21.5 as mentioned in the specs.
I wish Dell would print acurate information on their web and not round it up to 22 inches.

By 'compressed mode' do you mean with the stand shoved all the way down? Mine wasn't... so I just did and the measurements then became 4.5" from the desktop with the top of the monitor at 18 7/8" up from there as well.
Not sure where Dell gets their measurements. :smileyindifferent:

Yes, thats what I meant. I am assuming thats what Dell means by Compresssed Mode. Or is it something else ?
& thanks for the usefull information.
I know now not to go to customer service for questions like this.
