2407 A04

There has been a bit of talk on the forums about dell having brought out a rev. A04 for the 2407. I am curious, is this true? Dell a fair while back said there would be no rev. A03 - humm. Also that this was just a language fix - again humm.
Anyone received one on this forum & if so - what improvements have been made?

cheers

http://forums.hardwarezone.com/showpost.php?p=22057383&postcount=65  This link was provided by  bubbaganoush a few posts below regarding the A04 version.  Sticker shows A04, but no information that I can find to support this new version being sold as of yet, has been found on the internet.   We are normally the last ones, if ever to find out until they are released, and what can any of us do about it if there is a new version  ?

This will be interesting to say the least, and I suspect Dell will not volunteer any information to us.

Hi sr45,
Thanks for that lead. So things haven't changed much since the last time I was on these forums....
I think where I saw it was on whirlpool forums & a couple of posts said that theirs was A04. They didn't say what was fixed though.

You are right Kevin.  No changes since the last very long thread on the A02/A03.  Did not expect any either.  If you can, as I will try to do, see if you can find anything about the updated A04 fixes if any.

OK, good find.   Now the hard part.  How do we get the A04's ?  Bet it will not be possible now, but one could hope

Wait until A03 stock is out.
I just got another 2407 in Canada and got an A03. It still has major ghosting like the first one I got. This one also definitely has major banding which the first unit I had did not have. I should have just stuck with my first one.

There is something seriously wrong with quality control on this model.

BookerHD,
Excellent work, much appreciated:)

And All,
Read the BenQ241W thread about the 1080 1:1 pixel-mapping fix, thought as good at first, and then there are other issues popping up, if I remember correctly.
Who put banding back into the BenQ panels :)
BenQ still assemble these Dell's?.
And WHAT?, you have to turn it off and on so it doesn't tear in the middle of the screen.

I'll be watching for users to post any new issues or additional fixes for the 2407 A04.
Like is component quality better in the A04's for those who can't stand it's current A03 level of quality.

Hey KevinR100,
Just when AU starts getting' the A03's, like magic A04's show up.
Not cool at all:)

Good Day All :)
