2407 set up and Gaming Mode?

I just got an XPS 710 with a 2407 monitor and the colors in windows look kinda funny.  Does anyone know a good program or link where a noob can get it set up nice?  (Video speak anti alizing, etc is all gobbly to me)

Also, what is "Gaming Mode"?

PS: I'm using this computer 95% for gaming.

Cheers :0)

Most all report, and that includes me, do not use Gaming Mode since it still shows Banding.  Stick with Desktop Mode always.  Other two modes are now useless, as have been reported on a very long forum thread.  Desktop Mode the banding is just about all gone.

Unknow about a program to adjust settings.   Some eles may weigh in on that one.

User Guide for that monitor.  You can read up on the other two modes besides Desktop.  Again, gaming mode is useless since it still shows unwanted banding
