2407WFP A04 - Color Temperature

Question

As a new owner of 2407WFP rev A04  I am looking information on color temperature.   What is the Native Color Temperature ? Forums indicate values between 6500K and 7100K, but they also indicate signifiacnt differences in appearance (color-temperature) between rev A03 and rev A04. What is the color-temperature for 'PC-normal', 'PC-blue' and 'PC-red' ?   What is the color-temperature for 'PC custom color' with all values at default (100%) ?   What is the difference between 'Desktop-mode' , 'Multimedia-mode' and 'Gaming Mode' ? Is there any 'native mode' with no 'color-boosting' ?   What is the 'native gamma' ?   Is there any information on the 2407wfp.icm - color profile  (which comes with the monitor) ? (on which mode / color-temperatue / gamma is it based)   Sorry for these technical questions, but instead of guessing and trying to have optimal color-seetings I prefer to ask the experts in this forum.

PC-normal _should_ be 6500K. That's all I know.

everything on max/default give me about 6500k. ive used a 6500k lamp to adjust mine.

noopz. it can vary from monitor to monitor.

Thank you, Malow! On my monitor I see a significant difference between 'PC normal' and 'PC custom color' with all values at 100%. As mentioned in my initial post, some tests indicte a color temperature of appr. 7100k - but I am not sure which settings these tests are refering to.

Tiemichael,Sorry, I don't have a simple answer to your questions, but you might find these tools useful:You can use MonInfo (Monitor Asset Manager) to view the monitor's EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) and ICC Profile Inspector to view the contents of the monitor profile. Thank you for all your contributions! Things have become clearer, but also new questions came up!   From this and other forums I learn that LCD-panels have changed between revisons, and now there is a lot of guessing which panel (S-SIP, S-PVA) is used in the current rev A04. I also read that the optical-appearance of Rev A03 and rev A04 is quite different.   But the offical icm-profile 2407wfp.icm is still the same and unchanged since more than 1 year. Does this make sense? I would expect a color-profile update togehter with a new revison or at least with every new LCD-panel introduced.   Weekend is ahead, so time for some more testing and thinking ...
