2407WFP A04 Flicker Issues
2407WFP Flicker Issues
Recently received a Dell 2407WFP A04 to replace my A03. When the monitor comes out of standby mode, it flickers for about 10 seconds and then stops. Has anyone else had this problem? It hasn't done it while I use it, just only coming out of standby. (or comes out of sleep mode)..
Using windows vista...
Anyone?

Do both of you have the Vista monitor driver loaded? How does the 2407WFP show in the device manager?

What video card driver is loaded? Have you tried other video card drivers?

This flicker is normal and caused by the lamp current stabilizing after power up or recovering from standby. When in power save mode, the lamps get turned off and when recovering, the lamps get turned back on. They come back on slowly and it takes a few minutes for the lamps to fully stabilize. This is why we wait 20 minutes of warm up before we make start testing.
