2407WFP-HC USB Hub Failure
Hi folks. I own two Dell 2407WFP-HC monitors and the USB hub on both of the monitors has malfunctioned. The computer says that the USB port is now an "unrecognized device". One of the monitors failed about a year ago and just today the other monitor failed. Is this a common problem and is there any way that I can obtain parts to fix the monitors myself?
Thanks in advance!

Jkeifer3,
No , not common. Dell does not sell internal monitor components.
* Turn off the computer and both monitors
* Disconnect both of the monitors USB upstream cabling from both the computer and the monitors
* Disconnect all USB devices plugged into the monitors
* Turn on the monitors, then the computer
* Open the Device Manager- Universal Serial Bus controllers
* Notate how many devices are listed
* Leave it open
* Connect one USB upstream cable to the bottom of one monitor
* Connect the other end of the cable to a USB port on the computer
* Go back to the Device Manager- Universal Serial Bus controllers
* Did anything new pop up?
When I connected the U3011 USB Upstream cable to my Alienware M18x-R1, the Device Manager- Universal Serial Bus controllers added =
