2709W, Input lag issue?
Hi there.
I just ordered an Dell 2709W monitor and I have heard about a terrible input lag of around 60ms on this device, so this could means a 3 fps and this is terrible! Is this true? Is the Dell 2709W revision A00 defective? If this is true I will cancel this order right now. Any feedback will be really appreciated.
Thanks all!.-

I had to return mine due to the input lag. I would not recommend this monitor if you know a high input lag will be an issue. There are people that don't notice it.
You could test the monitor and return if you don't like it. If there are other revisions of the 2709W there is no official word that they address the input lag problem.

Apparently there is a A02 revision of the 2709 out, I don't know if it solves the input lag issue.
I'm thinking of buying one and testing.
To the OP:
You might want to go through with your order, check the revision, and then have a read of this link
http://hdtvlag.googlepages.com
and see if you can reproduce some of the tests here for the other posters that have the same issue.
Thanks, HP

Other posters put it at ~50ms.

I think the concensus is if your worried about input lag it's not the monitor for you.

Guys, I really appreciate every input in here.
I hope to share good news regarding this issue.
According to Dell's Tech. Support Dept., there is a Dell 2709W revision A01 out there right now, and they've assured me that this revision is able to fix the input lag issue on this monitor.
I just received the shipping email confirmation saying that my monitor was shipped today. As a plus the Tech. Support guys assured me just in case I received a A00 revision device, I should contact them inmediatly in order to exchange that monitor for another one with a A01 revision next bussiness day.
I have to say that this make me feel really confortable with the Dell's products as usual. I hope this input can clarify any folk around.

There is at least an A01 revision that on average halves the input-lag time to around ~30ms, which appears to be quite acceptable for FPS gaming.

I'm looking forward to seeing some input lag comparisons with the newer revisions.

Hmm, I know the S2409W has an A01, but I was not aware of a S2709W having an A01. Let me know what they send you.
