Can DELL pleae make an official statement about the input lag?
Many threads across different forums have had lengthy discussions about the input lag, this forum alone has no less than 4 threads about this issue, the longest one, which I bumped about 10 minutes ago, have been hiden by the moderators.
I realise it maybe something that Dell can not fix, and Dell is not the only affected brand, but Dell's stance and attitude over this problem is less than satisfying.
Can dell please make clarification on this problem:
is it a problem with the chip, the panel, or the firmware?
which models do not suffer from this issue?
I ask because I do like my 2405, and I do plan to buy another dell monitor, but I definitely need some assurance from dell.
please do no deny this problem and blame it on video cards or drivers, countless tests have been done by many to prove
this lag has nothing to do with video card and drivers.
I myself own:
Viewsonic VG710s, which does not have this problem.
NV 6800GT, ATI 9800XT both of which have this same issue, with different drivers over time.
PS2 via component input, exhibiting the very same lag.

Any truth to this from TFT Central?
bandito: "Tested mine by splitting VGA signal between 2405FPW and 2407WFP. 2405 was lagging 40 to 50 ms to a ViewSonic LCD... while 20 to 30ms against 2407WFP. The lag of 2407WFP is therefore reduced to a minimal.. 10 to 20ms."

It does seem that the 2407WFP lag is not quite as bad as the 2405FPW, but the Samsung 244T seems to have quite hefty input lag. At the end of the day, as with all these "problems", it depends whether it affects your use in real terms. If you can't see any problems with it, why worry? :)

I own a Dell 2001fp and have suffered from input lag to the point of moving back to my 17 inch crt.
I am currently looking for a 20"+ LCD screen that has low to non existant input lag, however all of Dells selection, as well as 99% of the rest of 20"+ market doesnt do this for me.
