Chromatic aberration on 2408FPW

Hi,

I've got new 2408 screen at work, and I'm really thinking about donating it to somebody else there and get back to my 21". I just can't work with it.

When reading text, I get focus only in one point, the one I'm looking straight at. But if I move my head a little up while keeping the same point in focus, the text gets blurry and blue color appears on the bottom of the text, pretty thick, about 1-2 pixels wide. Same tests on a blue rectangle on white background, results in light blue line on the bottom and pink line on the top of the rectangle.

I must say, that I see this phenomena only with my glasses (polycarb, which are known to create a little bit of chromatic abberation), however all my other screens, including the 2405 I own, are perfectly fine.

Has anybody experienced similar effects? Can this be fixed by LCD settings (brightness, contrast, RGB)? Is there an explanation of why this might happen (thicker glass on 2408 than on 2405, different material of the glass, etc...)

Please help!

Thanks.

Hi m8

There are quite a bit of various problems on 2408. Please read some other 2408 posts in this forum

You either get refund of it or bear with it. no other way.

I am waiting for revision A01.

To workaround this you can use the sRGB preset (in the OSD: PresetModes/sRGB).

However be aware: this makes the colour undersaturated. But at least the fonts become clear and crisp at any viewing angle.

I'm also waiting for a release solving this problem.

Chris, thanx again to inform us about this
