Used? Purchased from where? Did the seller mention their warranty agreement to you?
Start by reading through the DA305 User's Guide.
Read through the DA305 articles.
Before our users can correctly assist in troubleshooting you need to provide more data =
* To what Windows operating system computer is the DA305 connected?
* List all of the ports on the unknown computer
* What monitor is connected to the DA305 DP port?

Connected to what model system? Desktops rarely output video over USB-C, and some notebooks (particularly budget models) often do not, either. The dock can't add video out the system doesn't support.
