DDM 2.0, missing separated hotkey for multiple monitors
I have recently upgrade the DDM (Dell Display Manager) software to version 2.0. The new UI looks much better than version 1.x. However, it currently missing the support of different hotkeys for multiple monitors.
I have two Dell Monitors, both are managed by DDM. In the version 1.x world, I have two different hotkeys assigned to each monitors as the Input Source switch trigger. However, after upgraded to version 2.0, it can only have one hotkey for both monitors.

Clarify =
Are you moving the mouse cursor to the second monitor BEFORE activating DDM commands?
The design of the hotkey follows the mouse cursor. The monitors share the same hotkeys. If you want to activate the hotkey of a monitor, place the mouse on the specific monitor to activate the function.

Your past post only mention the U3223QZ. What is the second Dell monitor model?
Did you test both DDM 2.0.0.134 and DDM 2.0.0.135?

I'm seeing the same behavior with DDM version 2.0.0.135 and two U2720Q monitors. Setting a hotkey for one monitor changes the value for both. (Or appears to, based on what's visible in the UI). Pressing the hotkey sequence only changes the input source on one monitor.

This is exactly the same behaviour here.
I think either let DDM to support dedicate hotkey for multiple monitors, or a universal hotkey to switch both monitors to a pre-defined secondary sources.
Pressing the hotkey only change the input source on the primary monitor, It is very annoying at the moment.

Uninstall 2.0.0.135, install 2.0.0.134 and retest. If the same behavior in both versions, it has to be working as they designed it.

134 and 135 have the same behavior but I can't believe it's "working as they designed it." It must be a bug in version 2.x.
Even for the primary monitor, switching seems slower than it was with version 1.x and more likely to miss the hotkey sequence being pressed.

I can confirm that the hotkeys only work on 1 monitor at a time and the response time is much slower now. However, I am particularly dissapointed to see the dedicated input hotkey replaced with the toggle inputs hotkey, which when paired with the alternating inputs hotkey, is an objective downgrade. I hope these changes are reverted asap. Why not just have a hotkey for each input type for each monitor?

Is there a channel that we can provide this feedback to DDM team?
The current 2.0 version is really impacting our productivity and we need to let DDM listen to our feedbacks.

No. How was I supposed to know that the workflow design changed between v1 and v2? There was no notification during upgrade. There doesn't appear to be any documentation. There's no indication in the UI, which is similar enough to the old one (monitor selection combobox) that it's entirely reasonable to assume that hotkeys are per-monitor.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for pointing that out.
Yes, it is working on the secondary monitor when my mouse cursor moved there.
Interesting design, and there's no such document or tips on DDM telling me this trick.
Thanks again.
I think it could be even more productive if we could add some global hotkey to switch both (all) monitors.
For now, the new design worked for me.

so i just formatted my pc and found out about the DDM 2.0 the system where you have to move the mouse to the monitor you want to change input with hotkeys while it might be good for people managing 2 screens it can become a hindrance for more screens.
I am managing 6 screens on 3 different systems and it is a nightmare also it is very slow after you press the key.
please bring back hotkeys for specific monitors like before.
i would like to ask for an official link for the older version while DDM 2.0 is being worked on, i checked older versions on the DDM link and it onnly hosts DDM 2.0 versions

* Go back to the top of this Monitors board
* Open, "FAQ Monitor"
* Open, "FAQ DDM (Dell Display Manager)"

I am noticing a bug where when I have my mouse on the correct screen, it is still triggering the wrong monitor. I think having a hotkey for each monitor might make more sense than using the mouse to track. I noticed this bug happen when I installed the latest update.
