DDM, crashing unless I run as Admin

Hi,

I'm seeing an issue where I can only launch DDM (Dell Display Manager) as Administrator.  If I run it normally it just crashes. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Based on the information provided, it seems that you are experiencing issues with launching Dell Display Manager (DDM) on your computer. Specifically, you can only launch the application as an administrator, and it crashes when launched normally.

One possible cause of this issue could be related to user account permissions. It is possible that the user account you are using to launch DDM does not have sufficient permissions to access certain resources or settings needed by the application.

To troubleshoot this issue, you may want to try the following steps:

  1. Check user account permissions: Ensure that the user account you are using to launch DDM has administrative privileges. You may need to log in as an administrator or contact your system administrator to verify and adjust your user account permissions.

  2. Reinstall DDM: Try uninstalling and reinstalling the DDM application. This can sometimes resolve issues related to corrupted files or settings.

  3. Update your graphics driver: Ensure that you have the latest graphics driver installed on your computer. Outdated or incompatible graphics drivers can sometimes cause issues with display applications.

  4. Try a compatibility mode: Try running DDM in compatibility mode for a previous version of Windows, such as Windows 7 or 8. This can sometimes resolve issues with compatibility on newer versions of Windows.

I have uninstalled and rolled back to 2.1.0.45 and DDM is working correctly.
