DDPM_settings.json doesn't exist

Using the latest Dell Display and Peripheral Manager on the Mac leads to the following error. If I roll back to the 1.1 versions, it works fine but is missing some of the newer features. Has any experienced this?

What specific macOS version are you running? Note the macOS supported under each driver name.

Based on the U2720Q Drivers & Downloads page for macOS =

* You have the issue with macOS DDPM versions 1.2.0.0052 and 1.0.2.0019

* And do not have the issue with macOS DDPM versions 1.1.0.0033, 1.1.1.0017, 1.1.1.0038 ?

I am on macOS 14.3.1. The latest version of DDPM doesn't work but the previous version does. The 1.1x versions work.

This happens on the latest release that just came out yesterday as well.

That latest version is the only one that "should" work in macOS 14 Sonoma. The earlier versions were never tested with macOS 14 Sonoma.

I have also got the same problem.

„DDPM_settings.json“ konnte nicht nach „DDPM“ kopiert werden, da bereits ein Objekt mit demselben Namen existiert.

The problem is that the latest version also doesn't work. I was able to work around the issues with the installer.

I created a folder called "DDPM" in my user folder located at

"/Macintosh HD/Users/myusername/Applications/"

Once I manually created the folder, I opened the DDPM application and the application created all the necessary files. Everything is working as expected now.

I am not sure what changed in the 1.2x and later installers, but it is hopefully fixed so the other folks don't have to manually create this folder.

@KirillY & @ludwigreiter - look at my latest post for the workaround to this issue.

Still happening with DDPMv1.3.0.0029.zip

Bit disappointing the level of DELL service and ability to handle bugs.
