Sorry Chris not to have replied earlier as have been away.

I have not been able to test the DVI on both OPC's as the original desktop has no DVI output I am afraid

I have been using my Dell 2007FP for the last 2-3 years and it has been outstanding. I have used the Analogue (VGA) Inout. I have just bought a new PC, Acer with 64 bit Vista and I want to use the Digital (DIV-D) Input.

I am using both PC's to transfer data  and I change the input selector on the screen to suit the relevnt PC.

When using the DIV-D input, the screen is unacceptably dark which is a real shame.I have the brightness turned up to 100%

Any ideas as to how I solve this?

Chris-M, I'm having this same issue as well.  I've used the DVI-D input for most of the time that I've owned it.  I have the brightness turned up 100% and it still seems dark.  I have two DVI outputs on my graphics card and both give me the same results.

Anything else I can try or test?  Does my warranty cover it?  I bought the additional 5 year warranty when I purchased it.

Thanks.

Does VGA have the same issue? Yes, you could get a used exchange over this issue. If you only have a monitor order number, you should contact Customer Service. If your monitor was purchased tied to a Dell PC, contact Technical Support. They will need the following -
Name:
Email Address:
Shipping address:
Phone number:
Monitor Order number or PC Service Tag number if purchased with a PC:
Monitor 20 digit PPID number found on the back on a label or on the slider card on the left rear:
Operating system:
Video card:
Video card ports tested:
Reason:

My order was a monitor only order and I have my number and receipt.

I'll check my VGA input tonight to see if the issue is the same.

I get the same issue with the VGA input.  I guess I need to give Customer Service a call.

Strange.. I also have a 2007FP where both analog and digital ins are working fine.  I would guess it could also be a videocard / driver issue.

I should have clarified that mine is a 2007WFP and not the FP model.

Chris-M, where would I find the Service Tag on my Dell 2007WFP monitor?  I don't see it.

It doesn't have one. The order number is how we tie the warranty to the monitor.
