Dell 2407wfp a04 issues
Ive had my dell 2407wfp for about 2 almost 3 months and ive started to notice backlight bleeding across the bottom and on the left and right of the screen. Well i think its back light bleeding, when the screen is black i can see a kind of white coming thru. It also has a stuck pixel in the top right when the screen is coloured red but that doesnt bother me to much. What does concern me is ive started using it to watch austar (pay tv) using composite (box only has s-video and composite) and it doesnt save any of my sharpness settings , so each time i switch between dvi (pc) and composite i have to reset the sharpness. Ive tried using s-video and it does the same.
Also when im watching austar on composite or s-video i get these very faint white lines that kind of look like its in a low refresh mode or something.
Ive contacted dell via email and asked for a replacement but they said i need 4 dead pixels and didnt say anything about the other issues.... i was wondering does anyone know how to fix the composite refresh rate , the ability to save settings on other options other than dvi and the back light bleeding :(. Thanks for any help.

* Sounds like the device sending the signal, not the monitor.
It also has a stuck pixel in the top right when the screen is coloured red but that doesnt bother me to much.
* A display with 1 to 5 Dead or Stuck pixels is within the industry standards, and is therefore considered an acceptable display.
it doesnt save any of my sharpness settings , so each time i switch between dvi (pc) and composite i have to reset the sharpness. Ive tried using s-video and it does the same.
* That is by design.

why would they make the monitor not save settings for sharpness in each mode?
* No idea.
Backlight bleeding. Run this -
* Press the Menu button
* Press plus or minus to move to Menu Settings
* Press the Menu button
* Press plus or minus to move to Factory Reset
* Press the Menu button twice to Reset
* Press plus or minus to move to Exit Menu
* Press the Menu button

Composite or s-video are low end. Do you have this bleed using DVI or component?

If you have a service tag number associated with your monitor, you may use Chat or Email support to setup the monitor exchange.
If you only have an Order number associated with the monitor, you must call in,
1-800-624-9896.
They will need the following information -
20 digit PPID number on back of monitor
Name, address, phone, email address
Order number
Issue
Troubleshooting done

Start with Care. If they need to, they can transfer you to a technician to setup the exchange.
