This page was published later (around Jan. 27 2008) than the user manual, and there are several small differences, notably contrast ratio:

3000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio (Dell info page)

1300:1 (typ) Contrast ratio (User manual)

So which one is correct? Is the 1300:1 value with dynamic contrast ratio turned off?

In 3 days time it will be whole month since almost all hardware news pages on internet published that Dell Ultrasharp 2408WFP is available and shipping: Engadged site news

Since then nobody even bothered to cancel this information, and people have tried to order this monitor with various results (either their order was canceled or they got an 2407WFp-HC instead).

I hope this just means that potential problems like banding or overdrive ghosting issues are looked into.
