Dell E173FPb - Powersave / faulty screen

Hi,
Wonder if someone can help. We are a small business and have a problem with a couple of monitors - E173FPb.

In all instances the monitor will run fine, then the screen will suddenly go black as if its went into powersave mode. The light on the monitor however stays Green. The only way to get the screen back on is to switch the monitor off / then back on again.

It will do it when you are working on a document or using the PC.

The frequency of the problem increases so much so that its impossible to work on the PC as the monitor constantly goes black.

The serial numbers of those in question are:

CN - 0c5385-46633-546-33ku
CN - 0c5385-46633-546-33uu
CN - 0c5385-46633-546-342u

Is this a known fault? Is there anything we can do?

thanks
Dan

Thanks for the reply - however the monitor is not going into hibernate or a screen saver - when it does this the powerbutton on the monitor turns amber - in this instance the powerbutton is still lit up green.

It will also do this when working away.

We have tried the monitors on a number of different machines.

TBI LAW,

They should not be doing this. Get them replaced. They will need the order numbers.
