Dell ST2420L // Dual Monitors HELP!!!
Hello there,
I am having a very frustrating problem with my monitors.
I just purchased two brand new Dell ST2420Ls at the exact same time. I only set one up last week and I calibrated it with the Windows settings pane. Everything was looking good until I decided to plug my second monitor in. The colours on monitor 1 are so much more crisp and vibrant than on monitor 2. It handles blues differently and in general just looks much different, its as if the colours are off.
I have checked all of the settings on the units themselves, initially I thought it was a cabling issue so I swapped them both from HDMI to DVI and to VGA. I also swapped the ports in the back of the graphics card as well (ATI Radeon 5970)
I checked some of the display colour managment settings and I tried to load the same profile, it made a slight difference but the colours are still off. At this point I do not know what to do. I just want the monitors to look the exact same (Which they should, being purchased at the exact same time, same model, same monitor, same everything)
I also tried resetting the monitor to default settings on both 1 and 2 and it did no good, the blacks on monitor 1 are just more darker etc.
Please, does anyone have any ideas before I lose my sanity? :emotion-6:

Same monitor models will have color and brightness differences. All you can do is tweak them to match each other using the monitor settings or calibration software. For the price range, they are good monitors. If I wanted tighter color and brightness across the model line, I would have looked at the higher ended monitors.
