Dell U2711/RevA04
Hello:
Just finished reading the posts on the Dell U3011 with custom color problems. It seems the 30" monitor has some problems that Dell has yet to resolve. From my reading it seems the repair will require a Firmware Update, which the consumer will not be allowed to perform. Seems the procedure is to complicated.
I recently ( four days ago) purchased the Dell U2711 and am curious if this model has the same Firmware issues. I have not even tried to use the custom color option due to the problems the 30" model has while using custom color adjustment. I do not see any posts related to this problem for the 27" monitor. Anybody have custom color problems? Comments welcome.

Hi,
I received my Dell U2711 a few days ago and has a color problem too : my screen is vertically split in 2 zone from it's center showing a vertical delimitation of color balance (like left side is has a brighter color tone than right side).
I tried everything : new DVD-I (dual) cable, VGA,, HDMI, changing resolution, drivers, even tried the monitor on another computer ! In vain.
One thing I've figure out is that problem is worst increased depending on the Preset Selected (Nature --> Worst, Game --> Average, Video-->Less visible).
More info anybody ?
