Dell U2713HM-IPS, discolored screen

* Serial #CN-07JNY5-74445-43c-830L
* Rev# A00
* Apple Macbook Air OSX10.9.3 (though issue exists w/out plugging in the Mac or ANY signal cable
* Running external monitor through mini display port, using mini display port to display port cable
* Not using a Dell supplied cable
* Resolution 2560x1440@60hz
* My new Dell U2713HM has begin to display what can best be described as color problems..  In self test mode the left hand 1/2 of the screen displays blue wavy lines (see picture)
* I've reset factory settings with no change. When I run the built-in diagnostics I can see the same discoloration on the left hand side of the screen in all colors, though it is very hard to notice in the GREEN mode.  I've attached pictures of the issue below
* Also, the pictures were taken while the signal cable was DISCONNECTED
* The monitor was working perfectly until yesterday.  Any suggestions?

Try the power reset.
* Disconnect every cable from the bottom and side of the monitor (including the power cord)
* Press and hold in the monitor power button for 15 seconds
* Reconnect the power cord to the wall outlet, then to the bottom of the monitor
* Power on the monitor

If still failing, get it replaced. Since your monitor has a Service Tag number, contact Dell Technical Support for your country. Provide to them the following data so they can setup a like for like monitor exchange =

Thanks for the power reset tip, but it did not resolve the problem.  I contacted Dell and they are shipping me a new monitor.
