I have U2711 A02 and considering the price of this monitor, i am a little disappointed at the unevenness of the back light towards both bottom corners but probably can live with it for the time being.

So what changes were made between all the revisions( A01->A11)? Is there a change log somewhere?

The revisions are an internal process and are considered Dell Confidential information and thus, that information is not provided to me. I do know that the latest revison is A09, not not A11.

BobbyUK should be happy that he has the latest and greatest U2711 A09 :emotion-1:

Me, I'm just concerned that when i bought my new monitor, i didn't get the latest and greatest available at that time. I don't know why the revisions were made and what issue sits behind them. All i know is i have to assess whether the monitor has an issue with uneven back light and what to do with it..

Though i can see how a manufacturing component change can lead to a new revision, this is not secret sauce that should be protected at all cost, it's a fair question to ask what the reasons for revisions were and when they occurred. Change logs are very good thing to have, creates an open and honest impression towards ones customers. I'd hate to see Dell behaving as it did with the capacitor issue and hide and lie about the extent of the problem while upsetting many customers and bringing the legal system into play. Time will tell.

But as a Dell bod, if your not told, guess your a mushroom like the rest of us :emotion-6:
