Dislikes with 2407WFP
I just got my brand new A03 2407WFP this afternoon and I am experiencing a few things I do not think should be happening, and wanted to post here before calling the support lines.
To give you guys some background, I am using a PowerBookG4 outputing to this monitor directly via DVI at the monitors native resolution.
First off, while at a brightness of 15 and over, there is easily noticable red/green lag when moving windows. While this isn't that much of an issue, as I like the brightness of 15 (at least right now, at night with the room lights), I am slightly disapointed in a monitor of this calibur having this problem when my 1901FP didn't.
Second off, when outputing 1280x854 (PowerBookG4 native resolution, outputing mirror of main monitor) to the monitor, and aspect set to 1:1, there is noticible horrizontal breakup in the middle of the montior. What I mean is that, while the top half of the monitor is right on time, the bottom half has a lag, noticible enough to move text 1/2 an inch side by side if the window is moving fast enough.
I have yet to test any of the other inputs, but so far this isn't looking so great...
Also, the left side of the monitor is brighter, but I have heard that is a problem with all dell montitors.
On the positive notes, havn't noticed any stuck pixels!

Are any of these normal?
Are there any known fixes to these problems?
I will be testing the component shortly with my xbox360 outputing 1080p (I hope!), and will report, and later with VGA from my PC as well.

Dell 2407 has the fastest ms response time of any 24" LCD on the market at least as of a month ago. I saw speed test results when compared to the speed of a CRT thats how you test it.
BenQ 241W a little slower and Samsung 244T slowest.
Haven't seen any beat it yet.
There should be no noticeable input lag at all with this monitor,
if there is lag, there is a problem somewhere, from drivers to defective monitor to other issues.

Tried and proven many times here since the VGA 1080P upgrade was released by XBOX360 in November last year.
If you still see a problem, post back and tell us what you see.

Yeah, that is what I was thinking. I read amazing this about this monitor for gaming (when it works properly). I think I got lucky in that it works great for DVI settings I have it on.
But it also has very prominant banding on VGA when the resolution is set at 1920x1080 by an xbox 360. I have heard this on pre A03 models, but didn't know it was extant.all the facts

If you have lines on the XBOX 360 output turn the sharpness to 30 or below it should fix that.
If you have a little fuzziness you could adjust the phase which is like a fine tune adjustment that compliments the pixel clock rough adjustment in the OSD of the 2407.
Banding is not present in VGA from the monitor but lines from XBOX 360 with sharpness above 30 are.
Banding is something totally different or at least it would be a first here thru VGA.
2407 A02's that had banding was corrected by using VGA as a work a round until version A03 was released and that corrected the banding in the Desktop mode for the most part.Message Edited by all the facts on 01-16-200711:53 PM

I am currently in the process of designing a new computer, along with the teenage chore of homework, so I am not fully able to test this monitor right now, but I will continue reporting what I observe.
