I then thought I'd use the Showcenter, connect it to the 2407 via component, and see what the results are. Again the picture quality is stunning. The showcenter allows you to select the output and although it doesn't do 1080p, in 1080i and 720p the demo HD material looks just as good through component as does when played on the pc through DVI.
I don't have much HD source material, but the small selection of 720 and 1080 that I have looks the same in component as it does when played on the pc. The one difference being that when played on the pc there is the black bars top and bottom, when streamed using the Showcenter to the component input the picture expands to fill the screen.
I'm very pleased with my 2407 (A03 - Mexico), nobanding, no artifacts when scrolling. My only complaint is that HD looks so good I'm going to have to spend more money to get an HD camera and HDTV for the main house telly.
