Does the warranty start over again on a replacement?

Dell just relpaced my 2005fpw that I bought almost 3 years ago (with a three year warranty). Will this new monitor they sent me also have a three year warranty starting the day I received it?  So if it breaks within 3 years I can return it?

That would be nice. Wishful thinking.

Does that mean no?  So if this replacement breaks in the next two weeks I am out of luck?

Maybe you can pay to extend your warrenty.

The replacement monitor gets the warranty of the original monitor or 90 days, whichever is longer.

So if you had 6 months left on the original monitor's warranty, you have 6 months. If you only had 2 weeks left in warranty, it should be 90 days on the replacement monitor.

Or this was the case a couple of years ago at least.
