driver for 1680x1050 resolution with SP2008WFP?
Hi, I have been searching forums for a solution, but got myself confused :-(. People have suggested using PowerStrip to solve my problem, but it seems I should be able to use Dell provided solution.
I just got a Dell laptop and a separate Dell widescreen monitor but I cannot set the resolution on my monitor to 1680x1050 as recommended. It does not appear as an option in display properties. The help says to go to support.dell.com and download a driver. I don't know which driver to download/use?? Please help?
System:
Dell Inspiron(TM) 1520 Laptop
Windows XP Home
3GB 667MHz SDRAM
NVIDIA(R) GeForce(TM) 8600M GT with 256MB GDDR2
Dell 20 (SP2008WFP) Silver Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor

thanks guys, all is fine now. Silly mistake by me. The monitor was setup to clone the laptop screen, hence I couldn't chance resolution to higher. When I made them dual screens, all was fine.
