DVI/VGA

Hi
 
Could someone tell me the difference between dvi and vga and which one to use to connect screen to PC

DVI is digital, and the connector is white in color, and the blue connector is analog.  We don't know what video card you have nor what monitor you have.  Vital information not listed in your post.  Digital is clearer for most, and analog is the basic, but still provides a good viewing experience. 

If you want a clearer picture, than hook up the dvi cable with the two white ends.  One from the monitor, and the other end to the back or your computer where you have the video card. 

If you don't have a white dvi connector on the video card, than you are only going to get analog, and just connect the cable with the blue end connector from the monitor and the other end to the video card.

I have the following:

19 inch 1905FP ultrasharp flat panel monitor

nvidia geforce 7800gtx 256mb graphics card
