E151FPb barely 24 months old goes white screen

This Dell Monitor (Model E151FPb) goes totally white on a regular basis.  Turning it off for a while sometimes brings it back.  It is getting more frequent.   Is it totally toast ? What is the standard warrenty ?

Unfortunately, I think your monitor is toast. I work at a small non-profit and we have several of this model that are also just reaching the 2-year mark, and two of them have had this problem so far. It eventually gets so bad that the monitor is useless.

I have seen other threads here in which people describe fruitless tech support calls to Dell, being told to reformat their hard drives and reinstall their operating systems. You should NOT do that, because I am certain this is a monitor problem, and has nothing to do with any software, the display adapter, or any other hardware except the monitor itself. Swapping with another monitor has solved the problem for us in both cases, which indicates the monitor itself is to blame.

I am trying to determine the warranty length for monitors... I only had a 1-year warranty on the computer, so I'm thinking we're out of luck.

Yea apparently this is a widespread problem...I too have same monitor with same problems.  I have looked many places for a possible solution outside of buying a new monitor but havent found anything.  Hitting it does correct it for a bit but I hate to do it
