E173FP + Radeon X300 With DVI

My Dell 4700 came with the E173FP monitor, and the PCI Express Radeon X300 with DVI - the "Setting up the Monitor" guide indicates there should be a white dvi adapter in order to connect the monitor to the dvi connector on the video card, but there wasn't one included, so I connected it to the blue (purple?) connector - should there have been a dvi adapter?  Did anyone else get one with theirs?

Hi,

You need to go CompUSA to buy DVI Adapter (white adapter).  It's only costs about $30.00.  You can put white adapter to DVI card, then put the blue plug on white dvi adapter.  It will work great.  I have the same situation you have.  Mine is X800 and E173FP.  It came out very nice.

Thanks for the replies - I was just concerned that the adapter was supposed to be included with the system, and that I got shortchanged - but it sounds like it wasn't supposed to be included, so I won't worry about it.  :smileywink:
