E2014H vertical lines
Dear chris-M and all dell people working around this forum
I am from India I had purchased a Dell E2014H from flipkart.com after seeing the awesome display in person at a friends place, the usage was basically for home. Liked the display very much and was enjoying its sharpness , I had basically migrated from CRTs to LCD this monitor really got me working all day long slowly , but then on 01/08/2014 i got a bitter news. The monitor developed a twin vertical line, this was limit. I wanted to know if the monitor in discussion has the warranty, frantically i called up Flip-kart who told as the 30 days for the replacement has passed i need to contact the customer car of the equipment manufacture, so here i am dell at your doorstep with a
problem. Chris as per your instruction =
(1) Read through monitor Manual----------- Done
(2) Restore the monitor to Factory Defaults using the monitor OSD (On Screen Display)* Press the monitor Menu button to open the monitor OSD* Go to Other Settings- Factory Reset and Reset All Settings--------------Done No solution yet !!
(3) Run the monitor Self-Test and BID
(Built-in Diagnostic)-------------Uhmm Nope didnt work for me

How did it not work for you? Did the BID run? Did you see the colored screens? If yes, were the V-lines present on the colored screens?

still visible Chris ... any how i logged a call with Dell india ..tech support took 15min ..monday rush i guess
finally a guy was on line asked me to all the steps which i had mentioned above .. but the monitor was at home so had to disconnect and get the monitor to the office ..after 2 hours called dell again and they gave me a reference Number :) ... did all the steps and finally they agreed to give a replacement .. few hours later a local dell dealer called and offered me a replacement by today ... waiting eagerly for the replacement ...
