E551c Blurry in High Resolution

Hi,

Last night my screen suddenly turned blurry and distorted.  This morning when I started my system up, the resolution wasn't blurry anymore, but than a few seconds later it snapped back.  I changed my resolution from 1024 X 768 to 640 X 480, and adjusted the frequency from 60 to 100, and now the screen is much clearer, but still rather blurry.  There is nothing magnetic around the computer, the chords look okay, and the monitor is only a year, and a few months old.  There are no conflicts with the drivers, and it's strange because some programs appear more or less blurry than other ones.  When I ran test on the monitor and video, the text and images was clear.  And the Dell bootup logo is clear as well.  It's just than once I log into windows it get's blurry.  I have been working on the problem for a few hours.  Does anybody have any insight on how to fix it?

Thank you for your help.

If your video card has a fan, you might check it out & see if it is turning or clogged.  The video card may be overheating.  If you have access to another computer, see if the problem follows the monitor
