Hello.  I am a first time poster to the Dell forums, but believe me, I am not new to computers.  I have had to do some serious hard work on my computer (Dimension XPS T800r) and as you can see, it is a pretty old system (got mine in 2000).   Luckily, I have kept it running good... until we can get a new computer (it will be another Dell!).

 

Today I had to re-format my hard drive, and I started over from the top, and I am glad that my back up device kept me from going insane... Anyways. My problem is, that my E770 monitor (Dell made, 2000, came with computer) will not let me change the color amount on the monitor (only allows for 2 colors or 16), and the screen resolution is stuck at 640 by 480 pixels, and will not allow me to change it.

 

Now I believe that a driver could probably remedy my problem, but I can not seem to find one.  I have 56k dial up access, so a time saving download would be preffered, but I will take any advice anyone has to give.  Thanks in advance, Merry Christmas, Happy new year! :smileytongue:
