Extreme pixel overdrive on U2715H

Hi,

I just bought a Dell U2715H ( REV A03 ) and I am experiencing some extreme pixel overdriving issues.

As a programmer I use the browser a lot (reading docs, checking different forums etc..) and it is not acceptable by me to use this monitor having such bad experience. Most of the overdrive is happening on grey background, having pink and green ghosting while scrolling, or in general when something is moving around the screen.

Until now I've tried the following things :

-Changing preset modes

-Setting Auto in DDM

-Changing Response time from Normal to Fast ( it's even worse)

-Connecting the monitor to other PC

-Using different HDMI cables and different HDMI input (1&2)

None of the above worked. I am sure that there are no options left to fix this annoying issue but the real reason why I am posting this is that I want to know if by going to return this monitor and getting another one (same model) is going to be better.

Is this pixel overdrive something usual with this model ?

Maybe Dell should think about this, and give options to tune this overdrive somehow.

As I didn't received any response on my previous post, I thought to ask another question concerning my issue, are there any chances that future firmware releases will solve the issues mentioned above, also is it possible to update the firmware on this model ?

For example I've checked some other brands and I saw that on a Lenovo monitor (at work) I was able to change on/off the overdrive setting, so I was thinking if there are any chances that Dell will release such a firmware release letting users to modify this setting.

Thanks in advance.

We are not privy to what manufacturer may or may not be doing concerning monitor revisions. This means that we cannot know what may or may not happen concerning a hypothetical future firmware revision. A03 is the latest revision I have seen. You are correct, all we offered for overdrive were the Normal and Fast options. Assuming that you have Factory Reset the monitor? Have you tested the monitor DP in and mDP in ports on the to see if the issue is there?
