FSM BurnIn mode colored screens
Dell Policy = The FSM (Factory Service Menu) is only used by our Dell Service Centers. An end user should not be in the FSM. You could enable or disable something in there and break the monitor which is not covered by the purchased warranty. The only menu you should be using to make changes is the end user OSD (On Screen Display).
In the FSM, BurnIn mode is a test run at the factory on new monitors and in our service center on returned monitors. It shows full colored screens (black, white, red, green, blue, text). This normally has to be manually turned on by the user, but we are seeing some cases where it turns on by itself.
If the purchased warranty is still current, read this. If the purchased warranty has expired, you will have to manually turn BurnIn mode off but Dell support cannot give out these instructions. Do a web search for, "Dell monitor BurnIn mode".
