G2724D, PS5, black borders

Hello,

Just recently got the Dell monitor G2724D. Works wonderfully on the PS5. However, the picture doesnt seem to fill out the screen. I've tried adjusting on both the console and the monitor but it wont just do it. HDMI 2.1 connected as well. Any help please?

* Enter the Menu--> Game
* Change Console Mode to On
* Exit the Menu and retest

* Enter the Menu--> Display
* Aspect Ratio
* Test all three = 16:9, Auto Resize, 4:3

Hi Chris,

The G2724D should set to =
2560x1440 60Hz
Aspect Ratio 16:9
Smart HDR Off

Then in the PS5 Settings > Screen and Video > Video Output > Resolution 1440p

Hi Chris,

its still the same, infact with the HDR off, the image looks looks dull and darker now? I've attached a picture as reference, maybe its normal or not, im not sure but the black borders is all around the screen

If the G2724D is connected to a Windows OS PC via HDMI and it doesn't have the issue, then the fault lies with the PS5. At that point, you should ask the PS5 users on their Forum for advice.
