G3223D, firmware M3C102 24N58 not detecting monitor
As title says, I really need this cause I cant stand the back blue light. Trying this:
PC -> DP cable -> G3223D
PC -> USB-C cable -> G3223D
No in between stuff. Windows 10 64 bit. Windows is up to date as I'm writing this.
When connecting the USB-C cable, Windows sees it as "billboard device". The Device Manager of course detects the G3223D via DP cable (Dell G3223D (DisplayPort_SDR)).

The Displays Team is aware of the issue. Still under investigation.

I have a razer blade 15 2020 (base) and I recently purchased the monitor referenced in the title. I found myself wanting to turn the blue backlight off and found the way to do this was to install the firmware. I have been unable to do this as the firmware update tool displays that it cannot detect the monitor:
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

We're all having the same issue. Dell have not yet released an updated firmware installer.

I downloaded the Oct 4th / DDMSetup.exe 2.0.0.135, A00-00 Dell Display Manager Application. It claims in the notes to have a Firmware update feature so I figured I'd give it a shot. The program installs with no issues. I opened it and it detects the firmware is out of date on the monitor. It downloads the update and again it cant detect the monitor since it runs the firmware update as a separate file just like when you download the firmware file by itself. Maybe you can integrate the update process to the Dell Display Manager App since it has no problems talking to the monitor?

The latest release is working for me too, using the USB-C upstream.

I will repeat the question. Can I somehow update my monitor if I don't have usb-c on my computer?

Confirmed! It is working here also, using provided usb-c cable and laptop.

Good work!
The first Windows OS M3C102 firmware ending in 24N58 has been pulled.
The second Windows OS M3C102 firmware ending in 4WW4X is now live.
Honestly confused as to why they didn't just rename it to M3C103? Oh well, just glad it works.
