Just bought a Dell P1130 21" Inch Flat FD Trinitron refurb

Ok I just bought that monitor at a frys outlet store, I brought it home heavy son of a gun, anyway got it on my desk hooked it up and everything then turned it on everything went fine, but there was a white spec on the monitor near the middle but its on the glass it looks like the coating that was on the glass came off or something, I was wondering if I could take this somewhere or if I could do something to fix it, second the cables they gave me I think are junk, I get like double letters and like a little ghosting behind the icons and letters so I dont know if I get a higher quality cable will this fix it because im 80% sure its the cable but wanted to see what you guys would say. Ok im done now thank you for any help you will give me.

that's a dead pixel. there is no way to fix that and just to let you know is normal at least to have  1 on a big monitor.

K well I took it back and got a new one atleast there is no burned out pixel anyway now like I said in my first paragraph I still have the same problem with the ghosting behind words and icons ect.. I tried another monitor I had lying around and that one worked fine, I tried this monitor on a lower res and if made the ghosting a little better but still noticable so im still thinking its the cable will a high grade monitor cable fix this, I cant test another cable because this monitor needs a male to male cable I only have female to male anyway thanks fo any suggestions... merry christmas
