Macbook Air shutdown when connected to U2414H
I have the following scenario:
MacBook Air connected to Dell monitor U2414H.
MacBook goes to sleep and at wake up it shuts down
This happen only when connected to this monitor model (I have tried with other monitors, including the same model therefore I can guarantee that is not a hardware failure)

As you can see in the image below taken directly from the Dell monitor driver page. Apple OS are not supported by Dell on this monitor model so this will be best guess support. You should also post on the Apple Discussions Forum and see if they can offer some insight or troubleshooting steps.
"MacBook goes to sleep and at wake up it shuts down"
What is "it" in the above sentence? The MacBook or the U2414H? Are there any Windows computers to test the U2414H on to see if they also have the issue with this U2414H? What other monitors did you test the MacBook on? Were they connected using the same monitor ports?

The macbook shutdown at wake up when connected to the monitor.
I have tested with different MacBooks Air and different monitors (same model and others models as well)
The problem happens when I connect any MacBook Air with any Dell monitor model U2414H.
Since I need to buy another monitor, I was wondering if this problem will also occur with new monitor model U2415.

I have never heard of a monitor causing the computer to shut off in this way. Before you buy anything, you should ask the users on the Apple Forum if they have seen this issue with the MacBook Air.
