moniter flat screen blank

Question

my moniter is flashing green on the start up button but it is blank its dell 17inch flat screen desktop be so grateful for any help before i purchase a new moniter thanks..........

It's always a good idea to check with dell to see if it is under warrenty. If it's not, you are looking at a internal power problem inside the monitor. Are you able to do component repair?  I have fixed a few.

thanks for your help i would not have a clue how to fix the moniter would it be worth trying to get it repaired this is not under warranty thanks again for your help

I don't know which model you have but unless you had someone to do the labor it gets close to the price of a replacement.  There is no trade in value. but you can get something for it selling to someone who can repair it. The parts may be cheap but the labor high.
