monitor is not getting signal

Question

I have a dimension 2400 with standard monitor. All of the sudden the monitor is not getting a signal after a standby mode. the monitor stays blank but if i remove the cable from the computer it will read loss of signal. this has never happened to me before and now i have to restart the computer everytime. Does anyone have any solutions?

can u tell me what is the colour on the front of the monitor and there are 4 lights at the back of the system. tell me what is are colors like. the lights at the back are labeled ABCD.

the screen is lit but is still completely black. the mouse cursor does not show up. This problem doesn't happen everytime just 1 out of every 3 times or so that i get back on. As for the letters they are solid green when i am having this problem

ok. it seems there is problem in the driver. try this:-

START-RIGHT CLICK MY COMPUTER

LEFT CLICK MANAGE- U WILL GET COMPUTER MANAGEMENT

CLICK ON DEVICE MANAGER

CLICK ON THE (+) SIGN NEXT TO DISPLAY ADAPTER

U WILL GET YOUR VIDEO DRIVER

RIGHT CLICK AND UNINSTALL AND THEN RESTART THE SYSTEM. CHECK OUT WHAT HAPPENS.

AND ALSO NOTICE IF THE LIGHT ON THE FRONT OF THE SCREEN IS AMBER OR GREEN.
