Monitor Warranty Status

Question

I have a Dell monitor that will not power on.  Could someone tell me if it is under warranty?  I would like to get it replaced if it is.   Model:1704FPTt PPID: CN-0Y4299-71618-5CL-AESR

Depends...

A monitor purchased with a computer before 12/12/2005 has a 3 year warranty or uses the longer computer warranty

A monitor purchased with a computer on/after 12/12/2005 uses the length of the computer warranty (90 days, 1 year, 2 year, etc)

A monitor purchased by itself has a 3 year warranty based off of the PPID number (example CN0Y4299716185CLAESR)

I'm not sure if we can track the PPID back to the original purchase.

It was made by the company that I'm employed by, Texar FCU.  I've checked with our accounting department and we don't have any documents with the monitor's PPID number.  We believe that it should be under warranty because the office where it is located is only about 1 1/2 years old.

Hi- I have the same problem. I have a 1704FPTt that is used for a server, so it is not used often. It would power on, power off, and now it will not power on at all. No self tests on screen.

CN-DY4299-71618-52H-BE4M. How can I find out how to get this fixed? Thank You - Jim.
