N64 on a Dell 2407
Just tried to connect my N64 upto my dell 2407 and I got some rather strange errors.... I first tried connecting it up by S-video and when I changed to the input the screen stayed black with the little S-video icon in the upper left corner flashing and it wouldn't display an image. I switched back over to the DVI input for my PC and tried to PIP function and when I did that it came up with the message out of range signal. Cannot display this video mode change computer display input to 1920x1200@60hz. Now I've got a PAL N64 so it only outputs in 50hz.... I tried putting a game into hires mode which changes the resolution up to 640x480 from 320x240 but this didn't have an effect on the message I received. I tried it with a composite cable too without any luck. I've made sure the N64 is working on 2 other TV's and similarly made sure with the cables. Has anyone got any suggestions or am I just out of luck?
