P1911 LCD - Windows 7 Installing Drivers?
Hi
I have downloaded the so called drivers for the Dell 1911 LCD screen and I am trying to install them on Windows 7 64-bit.
I have extracted the file, but all I get is 2 files:
P1911.cat
P1911.ocm
I cannot install from these. I can install the ocm file by rightclicking, but the monitor shows as "Generic Non-PnP Monitor". I am sure I am not getting all of the resolutions compatible with this screen.
Any assistance appreciated.
Thanks in advance
David

* Open the Device Manager
* Click the icon left of Monitors
* Double click the monitor listed
* Click the Driver tab
* Click the Update Driver button
* Click No, not at this time
* Click Next
* Dot Install from a list or specific location
* Click Next
* Click Don't search. I will choose the driver to install
* Click Next
* Click Have Disk
* Click Browse and navigate to where the files are now
* Click the monitor cat file
* Click Open
* Click OK
* Click Next
* Click Finish
* Now the Device Manager- Monitors should show your monitor

This does not work? Windows 7 will only allow you to select an INF file with this technique - I can only get a "Generic Non-PnP Monitor" or "Generic PnP Monitor" to work....
Help?
Thanks, Robin

Never mind - I found them. They are on the CD that came with the display. It appears to be the same two files you can download, plus the needed INF file.
